My name is Laity Ndong. I am from senegal a small country in west africa. Senegal was colonize by french people that is why the official language is french but someone need to know a little bit Wolof if you want to go there and visit because it is the main language after French. Its kind of hard to talk about yourself but I will try to do my best . I belong to the Serer ethnic group and I speak french , spanish ,Wolof and Serer . So I am kind of good at languages in some how . I do love challenges and that is why after higher school in oder to go to french study ,I decided to come to the USA. My family is back home and I live here by my self which is very hard but a very good experience though. I am very open minded and always want to discover new things. For those who really know me , i am a nice person and very funny too.

Coming to the USA is a dream come trough because I always wanted to come to this new world and discover. My first year in here was very hard i even wanted to go back because everything was new, the language was hard to learn but now things are going great , I am almost done with school.

My goal is to have experience and be able to bring my knowledge in economic back to Africa in general or to Senegal in particular where I definitely think they will need me more than in here.

I definitely think that media is what rule the world nowadays . We all are affected by it in a way or another. That is why it is very important to know about it . Me personally i think that media participate a lot in my daily life. I spend a lot of time everyday communicating in skype with my family back home . The News I listen to everyday in the radio or on TV show that I cannot live without media. At the point where things are right now, it very hard even impossible to separate me with media .It is part of me and that is how deep i am related to it.

I am taking this class because i want to learn other thing beside economic. I want to be able to take the power that Media has and used it in oder to carry out the economic message I want to give to my people . I am looking forward to reach that goal this semester.
