Who Am I?

My name is Eve. Who am I? I am 18 years old, a rising sophomore, a daughter, a friend, a New Yorker. I would say that I use and interpret the media in a different way for each category I placed myself in. I communicate with friends on facebook, twitter, texting, and over email. I use websites like blackboard (and blogger.com) for my school work. I watch NY1 for the weather report that seems to broadcast every 5 minutes - as a New Yorker.

I don't read much unless it's on the web. I'll always read an interesting news article if it's accessible with the click of a button, but I usually don't go out of my way to follow the news unfortunately. In my defense, however, I find that many news companies and writers find a way to manipulate the truth. Sometimes I don't know what to believe, so I have trouble staying on top of the stories.

I definitely use my phone (a blackberry) and my computer the most. I watch my favorite TV shows on the computer, use a few social networks, listen to music, and I can find almost every girly magazine article online (saving money and trees). I know that I use the computer too much but I find it to be such a hard habit to break simply because I use it for so many of my daily routines.
